About Carlos

Hello, my name is Carlos Benz, and my native language is Spanish.

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where I learned academic and legal Spanish and developed excellent writing skills for legal documents in Spanish.

While I lived in Peru, I began a serious study of English as a second language in the most prestigious American English language institute in Lima, Peru: The Peruvian American Cultural Institute (www.icpna.edu.pe).

My studies of American English in Lima, Peru, consisted of three years of study from basic to advanced levels, which included advanced courses in grammar, linguistics, and composition at an academic level.

Later, I took six college classes in academic writing at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland (www.montgomerycollege.edu), and at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah (www.byu.edu), where I earned a bachelor's degree in Management at the Marriott School of Business in 2013.

My passion for translating legal documents began in Peru and has continued here in the United States, where I assist immigrants in translating documents for submission to the USCIS.
